Copenhagen in a Day
Even with just one day, you can see a lot of Copenhagen – distances are short and almost everything is within walking distance. This route starts by the water, takes in the royal highlights and ends on a high note at Tivoli. All times are approximate.
Morning by the Water
Start early at Nyhavn, before the crowds arrive, then stroll to the royal residence of Amalienborg – time it right and you'll catch the changing of the guard at 12:00. The neighbouring Marble Church is a short, free detour.
Afternoon and Evening
After a lunch break, head on to the Round Tower for a view over the old town, then along the shopping street Strøget towards the centre. Round off the day at Tivoli, which is at its most atmospheric after dark.
